The St. John’s Progressive Dinner
Please do mark your calendars!
What is a progressive dinner?
It’s a somewhat complicated but fun way to meet and get to know people in their homes around food. People move around in small groups from one location to the next (starter / entree / dessert).
Who is invited?
Everyone, old and new “St Johnsers!” Newcomers, oldcomers, ancient, young, students, professionals, families and singles! The idea is to have as many of us as possible mix this way for food and fellowship.
How does it work?
We have, at the moment, 3 host homes and several co-hosts who will provide food. (you will receive instructions…) So we need people to sign up to be the gluttons–as Steve Peery so eloquently described himself–or the gourmands (those who enjoy food!) as the French would say… The gourmands will show up at the church at 5:15, break into groups, and start the trek from food to food in an orderly and pre-ordained fashion.
Where do I sign up?
There is a sign up sheet on the bulletin board at the church, or you can email Wendy Coy at
firstname.lastname@example.org. We will make another announcement this Sunday! You can also just show up at the last minute in a pinch.
Hope to see you all there!
