Children & Youth Programs

At St. John’s, we seek to care for and shepherd all the children and youth in our flock. We have a variety of ministries for children and youth, though children are always welcome in our services

Nursery care for younger children: Most Sundays, we offer childcare for infants and toddlers in the nursery at the back of the church during the service. Parents are also invited to use the nursery for their littlest ones as needed.

Children’s Chapel is for children from age 3 to 4th grade. They leave the service after the blessing of the children and return either at the passing of the peace or in time for the Eucharist.

Youth Group
is for preteens and teens in middle and high school. It takes place most Sundays and monthly on a Friday or Saturday evening. Contact the church office for more information.

Safe Church

St. John’s enforces Safe Church protocol in the Nursery and Children’s Church and our teachers and clergy undergo a background check in addition to Safe Church training. The Episcopal Church of Connecticut’s Safe Church training is grounded in our call to seek and serve Christ in all persons and respect the dignity of every human being. For more information and resources on Safe Church, please visit the ECCT website.
